Calcutta(now kolkata) victoria memorial hall is a fabulous museum which was established in 1921The Prince of Wales laid the foundation stone of Victoria Memorial in 1906 and it was inaugurated in 1921 in memory of Queen Victoria.Sir william Emerson(President of the British Institute of Architects) create the drawing of this museum.The Calcutta Victoria memorial hall is situated on a 64 acres of land with the building covering 338 ft by 228ft.The total cost this construction near about Rs.1,05,00,000/-.The museum carry the old history of LOrd of india.Here u can see the notable collection of weapons, sculptors, paintings, maps, coins, stamps, artifacts, textiles etc.It is the nearest of N.S.C.
